The Republic and Lichtholm have been at war for as long as there has been recorded history.

The reasons are varied.

• The Republic likes to destabilize the economy of Lichtholm for fun.
• They both believe their ways of live are wrong, the empowerment or lack thereof of the individual a huge issue.
• The Republic military leaders get bored and decide to free the shit out of bordering cities.
• The ruling class of The Republic fears a soft generation and will always find a place to send its youth to fight.
