Punishment for crimes while on republic controlled land vary from fines to execution. All Executed individuals will have their soul harvested to ensure no peaceful afterlife or resurrection. Torture may be used in some cases to extract information from spies or enemies of the state. Withholding information about alleged crimes is in itself a crime. If you are to accidentally die in custody of the republic before sanctioned execution you will be resurrected to stand trial. The Republic can offer things worse than death for criminal offenses. A Republic Guardesman can detain you at any time for any reason. Impersonating a Republic Guardesman is a crime punishable by death. You are responsible for knowing the laws of the region.
