The Proudon Islands are a mostly lawless land south of Gramdirsk, the main island, The Island of Proudon, where the region gets its name is a "libertarian" or an anarcho-capitalism society. Some of the neighboring islands harbor many pirates and the people of Proudon do nothing about it because they leave Proudon alone. Most of the pirates in the area use Proudon as their primary point for supplies and the sale plundered goods to the locals.
